I’ve always firmly believed that, as much as we need our personal space, plants also need their space.  They need room to grow and thrive.  Small and simple can make a garden look elegant.  And, it is much easier to maintain.

This garden bed was overrun with weeds and morning glory, so I thoroughly cleaned it up and planted three roses for my client.
Stepping stones and other garden decor can fill in the empty spaces after installing new plants.
This little holly shrub was barely recognizable because it was being chocked out by the grass growing in and around it.
So, I dug out the grass, created a stone border and filled the area around the holly with top soil.
